I used VVDI2 system to program a key for a BMW 2011 528i recently. I have done this successfully many times before. This time, the software asked me to downgrade the cast, which I might have done. The key programming went well, but I accidentally disabled the central lock button and the trunk open button. When I drove on the highway, the car did not perform as well as before. I think I may have messed up the ECU, causing insufficient oxygen supply to the engine. I’m not sure if this is the real reason, but I’m trying to figure out what went wrong. I would appreciate any help or advice.
Here are some tips for your reference:
1.You programmed the key through OBD (don’t do that again).
2.Restore CAS with Xhorse vvdi2 and everything will work.
3.Click on replace CAS button in the key learning section of the VVDI2 CAS4, you will see another menu pop up. There they offer many solutions for the problems you mentioned.
4.Look below it, it says coding was lost. You need to restore coding, find any device or anything that can do BMW coding and code CAS.
